Day 1:

Arrival at Guwahati – Transfer to Shillong via Umiam Lake
Overnight Stay: Shillong
(Approx. 150 km / 7–8 hrs)

• Begin your scenic journey with a morning pick-up from Guwahati and head towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
• En route, pause at the beautiful Umiam Lake, popularly known as Badapani. This vast waterbody offers activities like boating and kayaking (on a paid basis), and is a perfect spot for photography and relaxation.
• Continue to Shillong and explore the city’s highlights including Shillong Peak (accessible to Indian nationals), Elephant Falls, Ward’s Lake (closed on Tuesdays), Lady Hydari Park (closed on Mondays), Catholic Cathedral, Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays), bustling local markets, and the Polo Grounds.
• Later, check-in at your Shillong hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2:

Shillong – Cherrapunjee Exploration
Overnight Stay: Cherrapunjee
(Approx. 82 km / 5–6 hrs)

• After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive toward Cherrapunjee (Sohra), renowned for its lush green landscapes and cascading waterfalls.
• On the way, revisit key attractions like Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak if missed earlier.
• Enjoy a scenic drive through misty hills, root bridges, and limestone formations.
• In Cherrapunjee, explore iconic sites such as Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Mawsmai Falls, and go spelunking inside the Mawsmai Caves.
• End the day with check-in at your hotel in Cherrapunjee.

Day 3:

Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Return to Shillong
Overnight Stay: Shillong

• Post breakfast, set off for a day filled with natural beauty and cultural charm.
• Visit Mawlynnong, often referred to as the cleanest village in Asia. Wander through its neat lanes, bamboo walkways, and interact with the friendly Khasi community.
• Continue to Dawki, famous for the crystal-clear Umngot River where boat rides feel like floating in the air. Take in panoramic views and enjoy time at the nearby India-Bangladesh border.
• Later, drive back to Shillong for overnight rest.

Day 4:

Excursion to Krang Suri Falls & Laitlum Canyon
Overnight Stay: Shillong
(Approx. 196 km / 7–8 hrs)

• After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Krang Suri Falls, located in the West Jaintia Hills near Jowai. This lesser-known gem is known for its turquoise waters and serene ambiance—perfect for nature lovers and photographers.
• While returning to Shillong, stop by the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons, a hidden paradise offering sweeping views of deep gorges and rolling hills. The natural stairways leading down to the valley make it an unforgettable experience.
• Drive back to Shillong for the night.

Day 5:

Shillong – Guwahati Airport/Railway Station Drop
(Approx. 119 km / 4 hrs)

• After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati.
• You’ll be dropped at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey with beautiful memories from the Abode of Clouds – Meghalaya.
