Assam & Meghalaya: Nature and Wildlife Escape

Day 1: Guwahati – Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary

• Arrival in Guwahati.
• Transfer to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary: 50 kms / approx. 1 hour.
• Check in to hotel in Pobitora.
• Afternoon Jeep safari in Pobitora.
• Overnight stay in Pobitora.

Day 2: Pobitora – Shillong

• After breakfast, transfer to Mawlynnong: (Distance from Pobitora to Mawlynnong will be approx. 170-190 kms / 4-5 hours).
• Explore Mawlynnong (Single Decker Living Root Bridge, Balancing Rock, Tree House).
• Transfer to Dawki: (Approx. 12-15 kms / 30-45 mins from Mawlynnong).
• Boating in Umngot River (Dawki).
• Drive to Guwahati: (Approx. 170-190 kms / 4-5 hours from Dawki).
• Overnight stay in Guwahati.

Day 3: Shillong – Day trip to Cherrapunjee – Mawphlang Sacred Grove

• After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee: (Approx. 55-60 kms / 2 hours from Guwahati – assuming you travel back to Shillong and then to Cherrapunjee as the title suggests, the distance from Guwahati directly to Cherrapunjee is similar).
• Sightseeing in Cherrapunjee: Arwah Caves, Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park, Bangladesh View Point, Thangkharang Park.
• Drive to Mawphlang Sacred Grove: (Approx. 25-30 kms / 1 hour from Cherrapunjee).
• Overnight stay at Maple Pine (Mawphlang).

Day 4: Mawphlang – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Guwahati

• After early breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong: (Approx. 60-70 kms / 2-3 hours from Mawphlang).
• Explore Mawlynnong (Living Root Bridge, Balancing Rock, Sky View Point).
